Silver Star 1849 Straight Bourbon Whiskey Release

  • June 06, 2020
  • Silver Star Spirits, 1734 E. El Paso St. # 130, Fort Worth Tx. 76102

THE BEST THINGS IN LIFE ARE WORTH WAITING FOR... Silver Star Spirits is proud to announce the launch of our first Straight Bourbon Whiskey.

Appropriately named “1849”, this 2020 release is in honor of our Fort Worth home. Fort Worth, Texas was originally formed on June 6th, 1849 as an army outpost on a bluff overlooking the Trinity River, where millions of cattle were herded on the Chisholm Trail. Thus, this city we call home is known as “Cowtown.” 1849 Straight Bourbon Whiskey will be released on June 6th, 2020, the day of our beloved city's birthday.

Silver Star 1849 Straight Bourbon Whiskey is our first release from a select number of mature bourbon barrels. Silver Star 1849 Straight Bourbon Whiskey has been patiently resting in our barrel room here in Fort Worth, Texas, the “place where the West begins.”

The newest member to our lineup, Silver Star 1849 Bourbon, will be available at our distillery only-until August 1st, when it will become available for our Texas retail partners to purchase and feature.

I welcome you to try my most recent Whiskey Expression, 1849 Straight Bourbon Whiskey. –Kirk Richards, Whiskey Maker

1849 Straight Bourbon Whiskey

Made from my preferred mash of corn, rye and barley and aged in 30-gallon white oak barrel for just over 3 years. I wanted to be sure the grains had enough time to not only marry, but really to get to know each other. A hand-picked blend of corn, rye and barley. 1849 has the profile that bourbon drinkers are seeking. After resting in 30-gallon charred oak barrels, 1849 presents flavors of caramel, vanilla, slight maple with a white peppery, chocolate finish.

With Much Appreciation; -Kirk Richards, Whiskey Maker
